“The Anthony Standard” is something my father came up with years ago. Growing up, for birthdays, my parents didn’t give traditional gifts. Instead, we had family and friend celebrations centered around a meal and cake of our choosing. Over time, my siblings began choosing the exact same thing. What started as a simple preference became the standard, and my father jokingly called it “The Anthony Standard”. A way of describing choices that others naturally followed. As I got older, that idea evolved into something more meaningful. It became about setting a tone through clarity, consistency, and thoughtful decision-making. In 2024, I was audited by the Internal Revenue Service, who initially claimed I owed approximately $20,000 related to my 2022 tax filings. I filed in tax court and continued forward into 2025 as the case developed, choosing to rely on formal process rather than informal assumptions.
At that point, I took a more strategic approach. After researching the assigned case reviewer and learning more about her as a person, I adjusted how I communicated. I maintained my position while introducing a human element to the interaction. That approach led to a deeper review of the case, where the Internal Revenue Service ultimately acknowledged their error, accepted my original filings, and issued a refund for the penalty I had previously paid. Today, “The Anthony Standard” represents how I operate. I combine structure, attention to detail, and an understanding of people to achieve the right outcome. At AHG Security Services, this standard shapes how we operate by establishing clear expectations, applying strategic thinking, and consistently delivering results our clients can depend on.
